In total, we installed 5 crosswalks, 10 single arrows, 1 double arrow, 450 ft of skip striping, and 3,030 ft of 5-inch white lines. We also completed 8 white gore areas, 1 yellow gore area, and 5 stop bars.

On top of that, we installed raised pavement markers on the turn lane as needed to enhance visibility, especially during low-light and wet conditions. With multiple elements spread across deceleration lanes and rights of way, precision mattered at every step. Each marking had to align properly with traffic flow and surrounding infrastructure.

Behind the Scenes: Preparing Concrete for Thermoplastic

Part of this project involved applying thermoplastic on concrete surfaces. As communicated up front, thermoplastic on concrete carries no warranty. Even so, surface preparation can make a real difference in performance.

To support better adhesion, we etched and primed the concrete before application. This extra preparation helps the material bond more effectively, especially in high-traffic areas like decel lanes. 

The scope excluded preformed thermoplastic, contrast striping, and contrast tape, which allowed us to focus fully on delivering consistent standard thermoplastic markings across the site.
