Potholes are not only an eye sore, but can add costly repairs to your vehicle if you don’t notice them. We had a customer in Atlanta, GA with multiple potholes scattered along the side of a road. There had been spots where water pooled in the damaged asphalt from the freeze and thaw cycles and only got worse with time. The heavy traffic only made the damage worse. We arranged for a time to come out during the day when there was less traffic and barricaded the problem areas. We cut away rectangles of asphalt and dug away the broken asphalt. Then we poured asphalt repair mix into the hole and spread around until it was level. We compacted the surface with a vibratory roller and the job was complete! In Smyrna, Georgia, we gave a sealcoat for a parking lot at an apartment complex. The parking lot had many other maintenance services done in the previous years, with crack fillings, etc. They didn’t quite need a new asphalt pavement yet, but wanted the curb appeal that comes from newly applied asphalt, so a sealcoat was the answer! We swept the entire lot clean and used a blower to ensure that it was as clean as possible. We poured the sealcoat over and smoothed it out. The lot nearly looked brand new when we were done with it! Our customer told us our job was very organized while we were on the job and did a great job!

We recently completed a job in Buford, Georgia for a parking lot sealing and re-striping service. Our customer had a time crunch for this job, and had a deadline of when they needed the services to be completed by. A sealing service is a preventative measure that is designed to help protect asphalt. It is ideal to have the asphalt sealed every 2-3 years depending on its condition.

Prior to the sealing application, we cleaned off the asphalt, making sure that it was free from dirt and debris. We hosed off the asphalt for a deep clean and began applying the sealcoat. It is squeegeed across the surface for a smooth finish. Between the time of finding us online, contacting us, to the completion of the service, our customer said that everything went seamlessly! One of our customers in Atlanta, Georgia needed speed bumps installed in their parking deck. Cars were going too fast through the ramp and speed bumps were the perfect solution. Our team came out to the parking ramp during hours when the ramp was not utilized, so our work wouldn’t be an inconvenience. To create the bumps, we marked off a measured area and poured asphalt on top of the existing surface. Before it cooled, we gently molded it with tools to create a bump, which we compacted as it cooled. Then we used a vibratory roller to smooth out any bumps and to make the surface sturdy. Our customer said we did a great job of not making a mess, even though we were working with loose asphalt. They said the bumps resulted in a significant slow down and created as safer parking ramp.

Parking lots are a terrible spot for potholes since there is a high traffic and customers walking throughout. Our Atlanta customer can relate. He called us after noticing how bad his parking lot had become. We were able to schedule our service at a time that worked well for them with minimal disturbances to their business. To begin our work, we took a broom to clean and sweep pothole removing all loose debris from the area for the fresh asphalt. We added just enough of the pothole patch to adequately fill the area. We used a tamper to compact the material. Since the area is compacted, it can be driven on immediately. We were very neat throughout the process of the patching and cleaned up all materials when we were done. The parking lot was much safer by the time we were ready to leave and know that the customers will appreciate the fix!

Our team was assigned to a job in Woodstock, Georgia for a pothole patching. Potholes are formed when there has been an increase in rain, snow and moisture. Especially with the weather Georgia endures, potholes can be formed from a single crack that had previously been ignored.

To begin, we cleaned the area from any loose material or debris. Then, we poured the pothole repair directly from the bag into the hole.
